Registration

All participants are required to register through the 21WCSS online registration system. We have four different levels of payment, based on the country income. This is part of the IUSS Policy that aims to allow the participation of soil scientists from all over the world. Please read carefully the registration guidelines below. Registration fees

(Prices below are in in USD; prices will be charged in BRL, according Brazilians law. 1 BRL approximately 0.286 USD)

- Participant, Student and Retired member registrations include access to all technical sessions, exhibit hall, welcome reception, lunch, coffee breaks and options to participate (for an additional fee) in a variety of events and tours.

- Accompanying person registration ONLY allows access to the welcome reception, lunch and coffee breaks. (Access to congress rooms and academic programs are not included)

All participants requiring discounts are requested to submit proof of their choice. Registration will be confirmed ONLY after the following documents are submitted to [email protected] and their status is verified by the Secretariat:

• Students (submit a valid student ID to verify their status)
• Retired members over 65 years (submit a copy of their passport to verify their age)
• Participants (members, students, retired, one day) of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 (submit a copy of their passport to verify their nationality)

Methods of Payment

International payment only by PayPal or Bank Wire Transfer. Brazilians can pay using PayPal, bank deposit (boleto bancário) and credit card (PagSeguro).

Notices: Proof of payments by wire transfer must be submitted by e-mail to [email protected]. Wire transfers should be followed by a copy of bank remittance. All bank charges for remittance must be borne by the registrant. In the case of short payments, you will be required to pay the balance at the on-site registration desk. Please note that the fee must be transferred under the registrant’s name and the name must be stated on the receipt.

Confirmation of Registration

An automatic confirmation email will be sent to you after confirmation of registration and status (in case of discounts applied). Registrants can check the status of registration and payment at ‘My page’ after logging onto the online registration system. An official receipt of your registration will be printable on the online registration system once your payment is completed and your status is confirmed (in case of discounts applied).

Invitation Letter for Visa Application

Registrants are able to download the invitation letter from "My Page" from the online registration page. If registrants need a notarized invitation letter or an original copy of the letter, an additional fee will be charged.

Visa Information

Not all travelers require a Visa to enter Brazil. Only those included in the reciprocity principle will need a Visa (applicants must submit their visa application at least 90 days before their travel date). Letters of invitation will be provided upon request. Check here if you will need Visa.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

A written request of cancellation should be sent by e-mail ([email protected]). Only cancellations made in writing are acceptable. There are no refunds for registration, tours or events after May 12th, 2018.

Cancellation requests received in writing on or before May 12th will be refunded the fee, less an administrative fee. All bank charges for remittance will be paid by the registrants. Refunds will be made only after the end of 21WCSS.
